Educational Tours

The Tour Committee is made up of six teachers. The committee draws a program for educational tours for learners in different phases every year. Members of the tour committee, together with class teachers, accompany learners on educational tours to ensure discipline among the learners.
Annually the school conducts educational tours to various destinations:
The grade 1 - 6 learners usually go to Gold Reef City and Pretoria Zoo, Transvaal Museum and Union Buildings.
The grade 7 - 9 learners more often go to Sun City Resort and Kruger National Park.
The grade 12 learners go for open days at various Universities.
Advantages of educational tours:
- Learners get time off from the demanding classroom environment.
- Learners get to experience the practical side of what they learn in the classroom.
- Learners get the opportunity to see and learn about different races and cultures.
- Learners get the chance to travel and know different parts of the country.
- Learners visit major tourist destinations during these tours and this accords them the opportunity to learn about and appreciate the country's natural beauty and heritage.
